Jiangsu Education Services for International Exchange (JESIE) is one of the largest professional education organizations in China, providing comprehensive support and services for international education exchanges. Established in 1988, JESIE has been in business for 30 years and set up four overseas branches in the U.K., Canada, the United States and Australia respectively. As the American branch of JESIE in the United States, JESIE.USA is located in Los Angeles, California and responsible for all of JESIE’s international exchange programs in the U.S. With an excellent and expert team graduating from prestigious American universities holding B.A., M.A., M.Ed. and Ed.D. degrees, JESIE.USA is committed to continuously developing and promoting international education, training, and cultural exchange programs between China and the United States.

Having developed rapport with local institutions and received advanced academic support in the field of international education from both countries, JESIE.USA has hosted and served more than 8,200 Chinese students, teachers and education administrators in the U.S. Meanwhile, the office earned recognitions from the Consulate General of China in Los Angeles and U.S. Education society in regards to its contributions in international education. JESIE.USA has also developed programs to foster U.S.-China international cooperation for education: overseas study programs which include ELL programs for elementary and secondary students, college scholarship programs and customized college summer programs for undergraduate students, teacher training programs, study abroad services, sister-school partnerships, annual International Principal Forum, Study-in-China programs which offer short-term Discover Jiangsu Cultural Immersion Program and long-term Jasmine Scholarship for American students, and lastly, International Teacher Recruitment.

JESIE.USA’s network covers 41 states and Washington D.C, and has nearly 500 collaborative partner schools across the United States including elementary schools, middle schools, high schools, and universities. It has received strong support from all aspects in the education realm, including U.S. Department of Education officials, California State Senate Education Committee, U.S. School District superintendents, renowned U.S. university professors, and local leading middle and high school principals. JESIE.USA has also developed lasting and collaborative relationships with many top universities in the United States, including Harvard University, MIT, Stanford University, University of Pennsylvania, Duke University, Northwestern University, University of California-Los Angeles, University of California-Berkeley, University of Southern California, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, University of California-San Diego, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and Saint Louis University.

In recent years, JESIE.USA has implemented high-quality teacher training programs, and several of them are dispatched by JPDE. One of these training programs, “2,000 Education Professional Project”, builds a high-level education exchange platform for educators from both China and the United States. Participants are drawn from 13 municipalities, some prefecture-level cities, and counties across the Jiangsu province. The program is determined to help participants obtain teaching strategies, interactive classroom management skills and enhance international education vision to improve their education quality.

JESIE.USA is integrating international resources and promoting Jiangsu Education, while aiming at improving the quality of Jiangsu education, building the brand of Jiangsu Education as well as promoting Chinese culture. JESIE.USA will continue to promote and expand the influence of Jiangsu education in the United States, and meanwhile, develop a solid foundation to support the improvement of general education in Jiangsu Province.
